Madison/New York group will begin their stay in Austin for the SXSW 2011 Music Festival tonight. They are planning on releasing a new album later this Summer, so tonight’s show at the Seaholm Power Plant will probably feature material unfamiliar even to fans. The show is officially titled the Pepsi Max Foursquare Concert.
Locksley are currently enjoying the success of leadoff single “The Whip,” which was featured in both this year’s Super Bowl and the hit animated comedy Rango. They will be sharing the Pepsi Max stage with Big Boi and The Sounds. The show starts at 8 PM.

New Austinite (and native New Zealander) Jackie Bristow will play another show tonight for the SXSW coronation of her album Freedom. At 1 PM today she will be part of a series of shows at DMI House (219 West/219 W. 4th Street).
Other Bristow shows:
Wednesday, March 16, at Darwin’s Pub for the RedGorilla Music Festival at 3:30 PM. Later that same day she’ll play at Aussie’s Bar & Grill for “Down Under Sounds” at 8 PM.
Then on Friday, March 18th it’s back to DMI House for a 3 PM gig.
Saturday, March 19th at Rusty Spurs for Smoke and Sand at the acoustic stage. Show at 1:30 PM for all you early risers.
